Having fun while painting is the most essential part for me. To do this, I use multiple mediums and integrate them to produce a piece that is layered. Enjoying the ironic parts of life and our minds is reflected in the contrast between something a little silly and a bit of a dark undertone, and the layers represent the complexity of being human.
Alexis Lynch has created artwork her entire life. Painting has always been the primary medium, but Lynch has also worked as a cosmetologist. Cosmetology allowed her to create beauty using hair color, hair cutting, hair styling, and makeup. Lynch took part in fashion shows, creating various looks, including handmade outfits, in the "Luv Ur Mother" fashion show in Jacksonville, FL. Working for companies such as MAC makeup and AVEDA, provided training and resources to inspire her to participate in local events such as the Guavaween parade creating looks for participants in Tampa, FL, and collaborating with local fashion designers. Also, spending time in visual merchandising designing efficient flowing retail space. The diverse resume has allowed Lynch to expand creativity past the canvas. Currently, Lynch works as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in neurodiversity. During moments of inspiration, Lynch enjoys creating (anything), movies, and gardening.
