Artist Statement

A Florida artist who loves to observe and capture all the beauty that nature offers, inclusive of all naturescapes and objects.  She uses all mediums (such as oil paints, watercolor, pastels, etc.) to create realistic images, like the way the sun glistens through the trees, or the warmth of the sun on a winter morning, or the way the light plays and reflects off objects.  The artist hopes that the viewer will have a bigger appreciation of the beauty and magic that nature gives us every day. 

Biography

I was 9 years old when I got my first sketchbook and my dream of becoming a Disney Animator was born. I pursued art up until early 2000, when Disney had made it known that it was moving away from "Traditional Animation" and moving towards computerized animation. My life took a new direction, even though I was unsure where it was leading I've always been optimistic I would find my way. Finding my love of numbers, almost as much as I loved art, I became a Certified Public Accountant. It was a fairly easy career but not one that brought as much joy as creating things. Only after working in the corporate world for less than a decade, as a CPA, in 2023 I left the corporate world in pursuit of becoming a professional artist. I love learning new techniques and playing with various mediums, as well as working on various subjects. Every day has become an adventure.
