After emigrating from Cuba at the age of 20 and confronting the myriad challenges of a new life, I discovered a warm sanctuary in painting. As a self-taught and emerging artist, my creative journey begins with Nature itself—capturing the most sublime sunsets, the reddish mountains, and the boundless forests, as well as any space that evokes either a real or surreal landscape. Over time, I ventured into exploring expressions, emotions, and behaviors more deeply. I started to scrutinize the everyday more closely, integrating the individual into their mortal and natural universe. The strokes originate from within me, flowing down my wrist and onto the thin bristles of the paintbrush meandering without a definitive path; as my artwork evolves, so do I.
