Artist Statement

The deep interest in psychology, symbolism, and the simple yet powerful attributes of geometry, led me to begin exploring my inner world in a creative manner a few years ago. I shift between the use of acrylic paint, various texture mediums, paper, archival ink and markers depending on the inner narrative I am presented with. I use precise lines, geometry, and color to explore complex emotions and concepts related to the Self and the universe. The minimalist approach to recognizable objects in my work strips down the layers and exposes the bare structures underneath. I use my works as a form of communication between the inner and outer worlds a straight-line point of connection. My works are a tool for self-discovery and outward communication. Ultimately my goal, as an artist, is to concretize the inner workings of the soul into visible monuments of the journey to wholeness.

Biography

I am a Bulgaria born and raised, Saint Petersburg, Florida based contemporary fine artist. I have always taken an active interest in art and creative expression as a tool for self-discovery. I am a self-taught artist and like to shift between the use of acrylic paint, various texture mediums, paper, archival ink and markers depending on the inner narrative I am presented with. I started my professional artist journey just 3 short years ago after deciding to quit the 9 to 5 rat race. In this short time I have had several showings of my work on a local level and am working on expanding my career worldwide by participating in artist residencies across the globe.
