Photography enables me to observe the world around me. My camera helps me pause, focus, and concentrate fully on what is in the viewfinder - light, color, subjects. Through this process of taking a closer look, my appreciation for my surroundings is enhanced. This moment of silence and contemplation is a form of meditation.
The challenge of developing what the camera saw or what I saw or what I could imagine seeing becomes the next step as I use technology to interpret the data. I enjoy discovering the possibilities and working to construct an image of a moment in time or an imagined moment in time.
