Lynn Ondercin creates stone sculptures that re-imagine her world. Her works are carved by hand from alabaster, chlorite, rhyolite, and other stone. Ondercin's subjects range from a tangled octopus to a curvaceous female form that emerges from a whale's tail.
She credits sculptor Henry Moore and our amazing planet as inspiration. In her seventeen years of stonework, she has created the painstakingly elaborate, the curved and simple, abstract, and graceful. She is currently interested in conceptual art which guides her to convey ideas and emotions.
Lynn Onderin has been sculpting stone for seventeen years. She works primarily at the Cape Coral Art Center in Cape Coral, Florida and has won many awards locally. She is currently the president of the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild.
