To describe Elejandro DeMayhem’s work as overly colorful would be to engage in an understatement, and to entirely miss the point of why he creates these images. But, you must first understand LIMBIC RESONANCE:
the idea that the capacity for sharing deep emotional states arises from the limbic system of the brain. These states include the dopamine circuit-promoted feelings of empathic harmony, and the norepinephrine circuit-originated emotional states of fear, anxiety, and anger. These emotions can be triggered by color.

His images are more than hyper, they are explosive. The seemingly perfect subjects are brought front and center with an obsession to engage the viewer's emotional core. These are anxious images, injured objects. The work is also riveting, stunning really, in its vulnerability, violent nature, and naked heartbreak. Its catalyst was an awakening deep in his soul that yearns for color in an otherwise dark world.
