I am Megan Russ, and I also go by Rambunctious Rainbow. I paint with vibrant colors that are as loud and bold as I am, bringing excitement to each piece. My art brings awareness and more to meaningful causes and organizations, and my art also celebrates self-love, healing, and the neurodivergent mind.
Originally from South Florida, Megan Russ has been a St Pete resident since 2006, and she has been creating since before she can remember. In 2020, after she struggled through perinatal and postpartum anxiety and depression, COVID changed the world. Megan poured herself into painting again as a healthy way to cope with new and existing mental health challenges she was facing. Shortly after this, Megan finally received an ADHD diagnosis at age 30 - joining the wave of ADHD mothers diagnosed during the pandemic. This diagnosis led to self acceptance and understanding, as well as her current painting style. With a dark, typically black background contrasting the bright, loud, and vibrant colors that pop off the canvas, Megan's paintings offer a glimpse into what is constantly running through her head. Megan embraces imperfection through her art, and she also uses her art as a way to help meaningful causes and organizations.
