Artist Statement

I began painting full time after retirement about seven years ago, Following a year of experimenting I found my passion for contemporary expressive art. Using strong strokes of movement of colorful palettes on top of layered tones of paint gives my art depth and expression. I Intuitively paint in expressive form my thoughts and feelings to life situations. Abstractly in my art I hope to share my feelings about life and my spiritual hope. A piece of my art is a piece of my heart and soul and always a unique expressive original!

Biography

Sherry Swafford Page Contemporary expressionism Estero, FL, USA
Sherry was raised in the Midwest. Her career focused on humanities with the speciality of working with women and children. She developed her art career later in life and after retirement moved to SW Florida. She became a full time artist and experimented in painting different styles. After experimenting she found her passion for colorful contemporary art and became confident in her style. Her work illustrates in abstract form many of life's experiences. Being mostly self taught she passionately paints in a unique way to visually portray unspoken words and feelings on canvas.  She hopes her art evokes thoughts and emotions related to life's experiences. Her abstract art shares her attitude to live life fully.
