Artist Statement

I have been in the world of product design with my own line for 35 years, the tightness of that world has changed my approach to painting. I like many influences to permeate my work, from color, music, decor, design, architecture and now my new environment in St. Pete, FL. I like to challenge myself with new materials, collaborations, and different styles.

Biography

I studied Fine Art with a concentration on painting, but I am always reaching for new mediums and new materials.
I work summers in upstate New York in an old Gothic Church we purchased during the recession.
My new life in St. Petersburg has changed my colors dramatically, and satisfied my need for community and art connections.
I especially love the fantastical world of hybrid imagery.
I am drawn to works that do not live in the world of realism, but are infused with imagination, exaggeration and emotional expression.
