Artist Statement

Like so many people, the last few years have been about change. As an abstract artist, I have been able to express the emotions I have felt when it has come to so much change in the world and in my own personal life. No matter what the myriad of emotions has been, art has helped me face these changes and challenges head on, and give myself and others a voice when we couldn't find the words, or words just weren't enough.

As I dance with the flowing paint over my canvas, I aim for those who view my art to be moved in their own unique way. And while life continues to throw curveballs, I have found art to be what moves me and heals me, and I hope it does the same for those who see it, to be inspired, to feel in the way they need the most.

Biography

The artist behind Art_N_Between is Ayesha. Ayesha describes herself as a mixed media artist with a specialty in fluid acrylic pouring. She began
exploring and dedicating herself heavily to the art style of Abstract Acrylic painting during the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to help relieve stress and deal with depression. Although she has been involved in acting, dance, modeling and being creative most of her life, when she discovered painting in early 2021, she found herself hooked on a new way of expression.

Since beginning, she has continued to experiment with her art, and constantly evolve in her method of artistic expression. Part of that expression comes from her experience as a former dancer, which leads movement to be an important part of her artistic work. Ayesha continues to hone her talents to create art that makes people think, feel and often step back and wonder, all while sharing her heart and a peek inside who she is within her art. Art_N_Between was started as a way to show that in spite of the ugliness and scariness of the world, we can still find art and beauty in between those moments. And we should all strive to find that art and beauty within ourselves.
