Mind Wandering. This painting was heavily influenced by the surrealist works of Salvador Dali and the staircase landscapes of M.C. Escher. This painting is an exploration of day dreaming and how the mind can leave behind the body. The body is a physical structure made of a solid bone framework and squishy flesh, without the mind, it is a lifeless host. The only color, or life, in the painting can be found in the wiring. The figures represent the mind and they can be seen anxiously reflecting on their surroundings.
