Named for one of my favorite lines in the seminal classes of our times, "Liar Liar", this piece has absolutely nothing to do with that movie. I was really interested in making something monochromatic and also trying to make something that appeared structural amid the abstraction. I envision a bird's eye view of a bridge spanning a pool of water. I want this to feel both soothing and tense at the same time. I utilized alcohol inks and allowed them to run into each other a little bit here and there to really enhance the liquidity of this piece and allow it to appear to be flooding out from the border into the piece itself. I then drew what I saw as I saw it within the patterns the pools of liquid created, giving a sense of playfulness to balance out the intensity carried within.
