This piece was made from direct observation. It is a raw look into the eyes of someone who cannot accept themselves and is trapped inside a body they don't recognize. Looking into a mirror, facing their biggest enemy without breaking eye contact. They are upset, afraid, and unfazed all at once. They hate the sight and yet they cannot look away. I have spent many hours just staring in the mirror and criticizing myself and I wanted this piece to portray that numb feeling I get after hours of just me and mirror enveloping our space with hatred.
