To express oneself is the most human thing we can do - since the days of prehistory, we have been drawing on walls and telling stories, which gave way to poetry and oil paintings and architcecture.
However, somewhere along the way, we've developed this idea that to authentically express oneself is "childish" and "inconvenient"
A child that yells too loud in a grocery store when he gets excited is scowled at by onlookers, and a young woman crying in the bathroom over infidelity in her love life is seen as unprofessional.
Fuck that.
Your emotions are not annoying, and neither are mine. Our feelings are essential to the human experience. The emotions that swell and flow within us are not negotiable, they are the bones of our soul.
So laugh, cry, dance, shake, experience it all with a full and open heart. Give yourself time and space to feel. You can "get it together" whenever you're ready. Don't let anyone, not even yourself, tell you productivity comes above being human.
