Information

This painting was inspired by wanting to play with bright, primary colors and seeing where they would take me! While I was painting this canvas I was talking to my friend. She was telling me about her love of colors, and I got so excited I created this riot that blended everything together! I purposefully left the texture of the paint stand out, and didn't want it to be too smooth. I love the texture as it plays against the boldness of the color. I love the colors that peak out from under the top layer. It's that dimension and complexity that make seemingly simple things more interesting. That's true in art and with people too! This painting makes me smile every time I see it and I hope you smile too!
