Information

Mix media on canvas with textured gesso, acrylic paints, sand, glass frit. This painting has a funny story. Believe it or not it started out as a beach scene. I had textured the canvas using gesso and sand. I hated the painting and scrapped most of it off, only leaving some of the nice texture. Then I reimagined it with completely different colors and theme, and I loved the result! As I reworked this painting I got a distinct Asian inspired theme, and I pictured a zen garden with delicate blossoms and blue sky. This painting proves that something amazing can be created by being brave enough to pivot and make something new and beautiful out of something unwanted. Painting comes custom framed in a metallic gold frame and includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed and sealed by the artist. Canvas size 10 x 10 inches. Framed size 11.375 x 11.375 inches.
