this work on paper includes found-object, textured plastic that was up-cycled and adhered onto paper to create a densely patterned background to begin painting on. Next, acrylic paints were applied through multiple techniques beyond just brush strokes. Special attention to color and shape and reworking the surface were the focus as this piece came into being. That's how the title manifested; From Nothing. Jessica's mixed media paintings are realized manifestations of dimensions through time, space, lucid dreaming and consciousness by using vibrational colors that trigger a physiological response.
