Artist Statement

I'm certainly not shy when it comes to nudity and sex. Both are natural; they are parts of us. I try to highlight the beauty of both and push social boundaries and taboos through art. Several of my pieces are interactive, while others use multiple media to enhance the experience for the viewer. The explicit isn't always pornographic, but it should arouse mentally (and physically). I hope these pieces help to push your boundaries and arouse your inner desires.

Biography

Jerry Mitchell has been shooting for 30 years for fashion, business, portraiture, and fine art. With a love for film noir, Jerry began his photography in high school with a Minolta XG-1 and Kodak T-Max black and white film, which emphasized the beautiful nature of gritty life. He received his Bachelors of Arts from the University of Houston Clear Lake, where he was published multiple times. Along with a solo exhibition, Jerry has displayed his work in multiple juried shows and galleries. He currently lives in Northern Virginia.
