"Realeza"
The word "androgyne" stems from the Greek word androgyne, a compound term created from anér/andrós, meaning man and guné/gunaikós, meaning woman. Androgyny has existed for quite a long time, however this term got it's popularity in the 70's at the hand's of Sandra Bem, a recognized American psychologist known for her investigations and studies in androgyny and gender.
"Realeza", in English Royalty, was created trying to capture the purity of both genders, exalting them at the same time and with the same strength to it's regal and divine essence.
The Goddess and the God in one as a sovereign duality. Perfect in their own femininity and masculinity imperfections, aspects that brings them closer to our humanity but always indecipherable and inexplicable, enthroning itself as a deity.
As a true divinity and sovereign, there's no social conventionalism that can touch or even get close to "Realeza" as it is in it's essence, pure passion and strength.
"Realeza" was painted on top of a collage made of vintage magazines from the early 60's. Charcoal, water-soluble crayons and acrylic spray paint and gold paint were also employed building up different layers to create dimension.
I am two.
I am one.
Divine duality
In a passionate dance.
I am two.
I am both.
Sun and Moon,
Water and Stone.
