The End Of Dreams
In our conscience minds, it is our memories that define who we are. Good or bad, memories also form the basis for our dreams. Sometimes dreams cause nightmares. Other times they provide goals and hope for the future.
Adam's mother abandoned him when he was three years old causing a lifelong distrust of women. Still, he grew to be a brilliant young man, charismatic and charming, yet enigmatic, with a smile that could melt a girls heart. There was also a dark side that few knew: a propensity for risky and dangerous behavior. Romantic involvement with him was playing with fire. Adam could be hard to touch, moving away with the slightest breeze that felt like commitment. When he was on his game he moved with a grace and agility that was mesmerizing.
The company you keep can sometimes be your downfall and leaving it all behind to make a fresh start in a new town can help realize your dreams. However, old habits often die hard. Frustration leads to disappointment and depression. Addiction to past habits can simply be overwhelming leaving a person with what feels like few choices. Then, often with out warning, dreams come to an end.
