"Mardi Gras Dragon" 2022

This painting is meant as a tribute to my wild husband. A fan of mythology, he often inundates anyone who will listen with stories of dragon folklore or dreams he has had involving dragons. While viewing a sculpture representing the traditional colors of Mardi Gras (purple, green and gold) I became inspired and decided to utilize these colors to help bring one of his many dragon dreams to life.

Created using the "bloom" technique, entirely by mouth using only a straw and hand swiping.
