Information

"Multi Pelicanii" explores variation and pattern. Assembled in a grid, pelican portraits create a repeating pattern of eyes, necks and bills. The printmaking process itself is an example of variation: two wood blocks printed repeatedly in multiple color combinations.
Each pelican portrait was printed by hand in my St Petersburg studio.
