Information

The only reason to ban books to erase the truth. It won't work because the facts are only a wickipedia search away. Oh, sure they want to "protect the children" but a quick look at the proposed deletions show a more sinister agenda. How do you teach a 20-year war? Do you just ignore the first black female aviator who got her international license before Amelia Earhart?
Why not teach more history? Jefferson and Washington were slave owners. Jefferson also proposed 3 bills abolishing slavery in the Virginia legislature. After the third one, his neighbors threatened to burn Monticcello to the ground if he didn't knock it off. Washington signed a ban on importing slaves to the US in 1796.
The truth isn't black and white. We shouldn't be afraid of the shades of gray.
And I don't need Gov. DeSantis to tell me how "woke" I'm allowed to be.
