Information

Fish hooks and sea shells were the inspiration for the Fleur du Mal series. As a resident of a coastal area and lover of the ocean, I wanted to incorporate elements of beach life in pieces that were not too literal. I like to use materials that contrast or conflict with the subject matter. Here, I used actual hooks to form delicate petals and hard shells for the center to create something seemingly fragile but also potentially dangerous.
