Soul Catcher

The web is spun, a shadow cast
The path once lost, revealed at last
Should life be spared, when victims plea
A soul once bought, belongs to thee.

Soul Catcher is an experimental piece of work. The spiral web at the center of the piece was revealed when attempting to create a bubbling effect on the surface while using a heat gun. The intense heat caused the center to split open exposing the white spiral center composed of white molding and trim sealant which laid buried beneath 3 layers of latex paint, epoxy and fiberglass resin. The Soul Catcher was born.
