This is a page from one of my sketchbooks where I was experimenting with red papers. I love the pop of green and bits of yellow.
Most of the papers in this piece were made using a gel plate to create a mono print. Then each print is torn and glued to another piece of paper creating the first layer. After that, I use washes of yellows and orange to highlight certain areas.
It’s a complicated process, but the process is what I enjoy the most.
