Maybe it's the ADHD, but I'm rarely able to focus on just one series of work. If I get a good idea, no matter how random or unrelated to what I usually do, I must pursue it. I envy artists who can find a niche and stay there happily creating, but that's not my process. As a result, my body of work is rather disjointed, as I tend to pursue one idea after another. But that's all part of the fun, at least I think so, and hopefully you'll join me on the ride.
Monika grew up on a farm in West Michigan, and she always wanted to be an artist. She earned a BA in Art Studio at the University of Kentucky with an emphasis in painting. Since then, she has continued to paint and pursue other artistic hobbies, but life often got in the way of turning a hobby into something more. She has recently started making digital art, which, as a neurospicy individual, helps her to keep creating. As a result, she is finally pursuing art as a career, and she couldn't be happier.
