Information

Lilith

Lilith was commissioned by Rosse Marie Caballero, poet/novelist for use of her latest novel Lilith En Los Infiernos, as the cover art. *Lilith is the mother of demons, a dark and dangerous spirit of sexuality that not only reigns in the bodies and hearts of many women, but also of men. Lilith is the second book cover commissioned by Caballero. This is the original painting, painted with acrylic latex on a ply-board panel. The frame is also an original piece of art made specifically for this painting. It is made of black grout imprinted with symbols and covered with red tinted epoxy to produce it's wax-like appearance. The painting itself is floated on top of the frame representing the different levels of our consciousness.
*Excerpt from the book's foreword by Harold Kurt
