Information

Many unseen elements hide during the light of day. Night time brings out the darkest creatures which lurk in the depths of our mind. Waiting For the Sunset, is a depiction of what happens when the sun starts to set and darkness breaks the horizon. Innocence sits by the seashore watching the sunset unaware of the creatures awaiting for the last ray of sunshine to disappear. The upside down dove represents a lack of spirituality represented by the various creatures. This painting was an experimentation of my use of different colored wood stains on the sky and horizon's orange hue with acrylic paint on canvas. The glassy coating is clear epoxy which is sometimes use to create multiple layers to give the painting a 3D effect.
