Information

I started painting this after feeling frustrated about the constant anti-LBGTQ+ bills being passed in Florida. On a personal level, repeatedly dealing with harmful bisexual stereotypes including being shoved back into the closet over, and over, and over again is why I made my color palette lean towards the Bisexual Pride Flag... particularly the giant purple middle finger. The bricks were influenced by the idea of the Stonewall Riot. I added Pansies for the Pansy Craze and Lavender for the Lavender Scare. It's 2022. Why the fuck are we having to fight legislation about LBGTQ+ rights and our elected officials for repeatedly sexualizing queer people? Let us just vibe and live. Let us educate the future that regardless of their gender identity or sexuality, they are loved and cherished.
