Black and white image of weathered driftwood on the Oregon Coast.
While walking the coastline in Oregon I came across several pieces of beautifully weathered driftwood. As I stopped to admire the way the light exposed the detail in the grain of the woods surface, I couldn't help but think about the like this piece of wood had seen and endured.
I didn't know how old it was, where it had been, when it died or how it travelled to this place. But what a journey it must have been. And now, still seen as a thing of beauty in my eyes.
