Information

This original, one of a kind, artwork is not a drawing or photo but rather scratchboard. The scratchboard panel has a thin white layer of clay covered with black ink. I used a scalpel to scratch thousands of small lines in the ink using various patterns and directions to create the image. I colored her lips red with translucent ink. I was inspired to do this portrait of Taylor because of her extraordinary generosity and philanthropy. She is a wonderful musician but an even more wonderful human being. I hope to see this piece go to someone special.
