Road-trips are my favorite way to travel, and also my favorite way of finding unique image to capture. This photo was taken in January of 2021 on a road-trip covering most of the Florida coastline. This capture is of the full Wolf Moon over Marco Island inlet. In the shadows off to the right of the image is where I spent the night, in my jeep parked at the edge of the water under the full moon.
A unique note about this image: it was taken with a lens I hardly ever use because of the slow speed and difficulty to work with in varying conditions. After trying several times with my usual lens, I gave the difficult one a shot and came out with the unique starburst effect to the moon. Stars are my favorite shape, and integrated with my favorite celestial body makes this particular image very special to me.
