Information

Road-trips are my favorite way to travel, and also my favorite way of finding unique image to capture. This photo was taken in January of 2021 on a road-trip covering most of the Florida coastline.
While parked at Flamingo Campground deep in Everglades National Park, this lone palm stood out against the star filled sky. I decided to make my first attempt at long exposure to try and capture the stars since it was so dark. I didn't quite capture the stars as expected, but the light that filtered through illuminated this palm in a brilliant haze. I played with the colors and intensity a bit and quite accidentally came up with a color scheme fitting for the location: Flamingo Palm.
