The average human will spend a third of their entire lifetime asleep. The "Blue Dreamer" represents the peace and tranquility that comes with the comfort of sleep. It is fair to question and wonder if we are sleepwalking in the "real world" or wake-walking in our dreams. Is it possible that our dreams are our actual reality? This piece started as a black and white fine-art acrylic figure painting study of a woman named Rachel. Set very much so in the "real world." The artist then began to digitally transform her painting and transport Rachel to another dimension. She now resides within the dream state on a fluffy bed of clouds. Indefinitely set in a monochromatic place devoid of time, space or worldly concerns.
