"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." ~ Frank Herbert This painting is of a flow artist/dancer overcoming her fear of performing (stage fright). She appears nude because sharing her art makes her vulnerable. It is easy to become overwhelmed/concerned about what others may think. As she walks over the "coals" or red beady eyes of her peers, she learns to let go & allow herself to enter the "flow zone." As she enters this state she is finally able to let go of her fear. She dissolves into a happy place where she is simply expressing herself through her art & love for it. Nothing else matters. When placed under an RBG light the coals/eyes will glow & pulsate like dying embers.
