Information

This work is inspired by Austrian painter, Egon Schiele.
His art was raw and edgy and filled with sexuality.
The color blue seemed to fit this figure lounging across the bottom of the collage. This piece is about mood and the monochromatic, blue hues convey that.
I use a multilayered collage process. The canvas is painted, then stamps to create more texture and pattern. All collage pieces were hand cut from art history books and decoupaged to the canvas. Paint pens used in the details.
