Information

This collage is inspired by Andy Warhol and the dream to escape the rural areas of Pennsylvania. I lived in south central "PA" for a short time. It was rural and gray and dreary all the time. I didn't like living there.
Andy Warhol is from the Pittsburgh area and I've always wondered if he felt the same about PA.
In this hand cut paper collage you see Andy Warhol looking out the window of a rural shack. There's fam animals and farmers. Andy Wyeth's, "Christina's World" also seems to not be able to get to where she dreams to be.
Industrial PA is represented in the images of planes, steel and other exports from the state.
Warhol's Campbell Soup cans are scattered about and Marilyn is his dream of fame.
