In massage, the word Effleurage refers to a long, flowing stroke made by the masseuse. Effleurage is my only bronze that was not originally carved in stone. I carved the original from a California Walnut tree, then took a mold from it, cast the bronze, and finished it with a patina. A patina is the controlled oxidation on the surface of a bronze in a direction of color.
