I carved the original ERNE from Italian Bardiglio Marble, the colors in the marble reminded me of a sea eagle flying over a storm tossed ocean. When I decided to open this edition the sculpture was already sold. I personally made the 6 piece mold for making waxes to be cast in bronze. No mold maker I went to could guarantee the original stone piece would come out of their molding process undamaged.
