The photographs in this series were taken during a "pandemic safe" vacation to Blue Ridge, Georgia. The images here are void of human form but still suggestive of people's presence in the world. They are meant to be an exploration of the area but also an internal exploration of the isolation, loneliness and disappointment I felt during a year in quarantine. The year 2020 saw the cancellation of many plans for all of us, but most significant to me was a highly anticipated return to Mexico to photograph with and study under one of my favorites, Keith Carter. It feels we are on the cusp of better days and I am looking forward to being able to travel and explore extensively again.
