Information

An older painting, done in acrylics, captures the gentle waves and the terns at Longboat Key, near where I lived when I first moved to Florida from Minnesota. To create the golden hour lighting, I used many layers of earthy and ochre shades and also contrasted with deep blues and purples. To texture the sand, spattering thin paint right from the brush was lots of fun! I hope you enjoy this serene scene.
