Old school light bulbs like this Edison build always fascinated me, the glowing strands of metal that put out a soft warm glow is something you think you would never think of or miss but with everything LED today, I miss the warm light of these bulbs. I wanted to focus on the texture and shape of the tungsten filaments in this build so I made sure to only expose for those highlights and let the blacks fall off. Since the focus was on the filaments, I figured 6x6 square format would frame the subject in a way that would draw you in to look at the details.
Shot on Kodak Tri-X 400 film on a Hasselblad 500c. I developed this roll in Diafine and rated the film at 1250 ISO. Diafine produces fine grain and high contrast which was perfect for this image.
