Information

Siesta Key Beach's beautiful white sands create almost glass-like waves. I tried to capture these waves in this painting by starting with an underpainting in turquoise to establish the values of the painting. I started adding layer after layer of colors from a limited pallet of blues, yellows and titanium white. The finial touches were pure titanium white on the splashing waves applied liberally.
Framed in a custom canvas floater frame.
