Information

This was a fun piece that took me almost a year to complete! I started this painting with my own photo reference from the beach and establishing the drawing and values with burnt sienna. I blocked in the colors then life got crazy when my youngest daughter was born. I came back to the painting and continued to the fine details. Each blade of dune grass and oats were done with a single brushstroke.
